FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Can I register now and pay later?
You can register and send your post-dated cheques. Payment must be included with your registration, but they can be post-dated. If you do not have cheques, payment in full will be due in September.
Why do we have to pay up front? What if my child decides he/she wishes to withdraw from dance class?
It saves a lot of class time collecting the money at the beginning of the year rather than collect it during class. All dancers have a 2 class trial period in which they can decide if they wish to continue taking dance classes. If during the first 2 classes they decide to withdraw, a refund for any remaining classes and costumes will be given. A child enrolled beyond that time will be deemed as enrolled for the entire year ending April 2010. If a dancer withdraws after the 2 class trial, no refunds or credits will be given and parents will still be responsible for dance fees for the entire year. In the event a student is unable to complete classes due to a medical condition,a medical certificate is required to receive a refund.
Why is the costume payment due in October?
Costumes are purchased in October. That way the costumes will arrive in February and we can have group pictures in March. As the show dates approach, we can concentrate on dancing, not costumes and group pictures.
What will my dancer need for class?
Preschoolers in Tap Only will need BLACK tap shoes only.
All other dancers will require BLACK tap and jazz shoes.
A shoe exchange will take place in the fall. New as well as used shoes will be sold . If dancers have black tap or jazz shoes for sale, please bring them to the first class. Pease make sure they are clearly labeled with your name and price.
New shoes can also be purchased from Amanda Boone at Shining Star Cheer and Dance Boutique, 325-2707.
It is recommended that dancers wear bodysuits and tights to class. Many dancers also choose to wear exercise pants and tops. NO JEANS!!!
Long hair should be worn back off the face.
